Delete your 3HASH Mail account
You can delete your account and your data at any time, without contacting us.
In the app (fastest)
- Open 3HASH Mail and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Privacy → Delete account. If you haven't connected a mailbox yet, the Delete account button is at the bottom of the "Add account" screen.
- Confirm with your account email and password (or the code we send you).
Before deleting, you can use Export my data on the same screen to keep a copy.
If you can't sign in
Email [email protected] from the address you use to sign in to 3HASH Mail, with the subject "Delete account". We confirm the request is yours and delete the account within 30 days at most, as required by the GDPR.
Subscriptions paid in a store
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought on the App Store or Google Play: only the store can cancel it.
- App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → 3HASH Mail → Cancel Subscription.
- Google Play: Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → 3HASH Mail → Cancel.
Subscriptions paid on the web are cancelled by us when you delete your account.
What we delete
- Your 3HASH Mail account (sign-in email, name, preferences and sessions on every device).
- The connected mailboxes and the stored passwords or authorisations (encrypted).
- Email metadata, rules (Noise, systems, senders), contacts, AI summaries and suggestions.
- The temporary encrypted copies of your emails and your devices' notification records.
We delete immediately on our servers; anything left in temporary copies is gone within 30 days at most.
Your emails are not deleted. They live on your email server (iCloud or your own domain) and stay there; 3HASH Mail simply stops accessing them.
What we keep, and for how long
- Billing data (invoices and payments), for as long as the law requires: 10 years in Portugal.
- A minimal record that the account was deleted, with no personal data (no email, no name), as proof that we fulfilled the request.
